Najlepši pogledi Beograda / The most beautiful views of Belgrade

November 28, 2020

The Corona taught us a lot, we will all agree, but it also made us want to be foreigners in our own city.

How much do you not know about Belgrade?

I was born and raised in it. I thought I knew him to the core, until I started looking at him from some other angle.

I was wondering if Belgrade was sleeping? What does he look like when he wakes up? I knew I would get the answer in one place, on the roof.

You know that adrenaline rush when you look up and only the sky is above you?

I peeked at the most beautiful roofs of our city, somewhere on the roof, somewhere with a nice word. A special person took me to one place, and now I will take you too.

Zeleni venac

Prometno mesto u centru grada, okretnica autobusa.

Brankov most i Ušće, Vračar i Hram.

Traffic place in the city center, bus turntable. Many don't like it because of the "speed" and the people circulating there, and if you just looked at it from above…

At the very corner you will notice a large, old building that used to be a bank. It has been renovated for years, and now it has become a favorite place for young people.

There is no one who did not sneak out at sunrise at night after the funeral. In my case, I managed to catch one beautiful sunset. The building is not very functional, but I knew it would be worth it. And it was worth it.

Panorama of the whole city. Branko's Bridge and Ušće, Vračar and Hram. If you asked me what the most beautiful sunset I have experienced would be that one.

Bigz

Jasno i zašto.

The former "Bigz" building is located at the Fair.

Parties and various promotions are often held on the top floor, but if you want to go up for no reason, you will have to ask a kind guard at the entrance.

The elevator is very old, so I recommend that the stairs be your choice. Many call this place the most beautiful view of the city. Clear and why.

As I have been looking for solitaires that have an open exit to the roof for a long time, luck served me in an apartment building in Vračar.

A couple of streets from the Temple of Saint Sava, which has a beautiful view on Marakana (Red Star Belgrad Station). I spent the most beautiful March 8 there. Not even the rain could spoil the impression.

An ideal place to drink a beer and watch the stars and the city, live in peace.

The name itself already reveals that you can see almost the entire city from the terrace of the Beograđanka.

The first skyscraper in the city center with 30 floors, since the eighties, is one of the five tallest buildings in the capital.

It used to have large and important companies for the state, and today there are still business premises and television, so a lot of people circulate through the building and have the opportunity to see a magical view, after work, when the sun goes down.

Next to the shopping center Ušće, there is a business building called "Ušće tower".

The Usce Tower is the second tallest building in the entire Balkans. It has 25 floors, and on the last one there is a restaurant - an atrium for holding various events and celebrations.

The view extends to New Belgrade, the blocks and the Bridge on Ada. What will you do better?

Geneks

One of the symbols of Belgrade and the first smart building in the capital. Once upon a time, at the top of the Genex Tower, on the 35th floor, there was a restaurant, which unfortunately did not come to life, and the rest of the building consisted of business and residential premises.

Although it offers one of the most beautiful views of New Belgrade, the Genex building has been abandoned for years.

There was a camera at the top that you could access online, but it was also turned off after a while.

Politika

Zgradu “Politike” gotovo svaki stanovnik Beograda zna.

Hajmo!

Almost every inhabitant of Belgrade knows the "Politika" building. It is located in the center, in Makedonska Street and has a long tradition.

Next to the editorial office of "Politika" is "Radio Belgrade". As journalists mostly stayed in the area, it was named Journalist Square. Between these two buildings were the popular cafes Šumatovac, Grmeč (which still exist today) and Pod lipom are located. This neighborhood was also called the Belgrade Bermuda Triangle because influential people from the world of culture, art and sports spent days, and especially nights, there.

As the "Politika" building is located in the very center, from the top it offers a beautiful view of the Republic Square and Vračar.

It's time to tour, until the thick autumn fog and rain start, are you down? Come on!
