Ne neko aktivno nezadovoljstvo, nego samo poslovna prilika koja mi je pružena, i kojoj sam dala šansu.
The main reason for leaving Belgrade?
There wasn’t some active dissatisfaction, but just a business opportunity that was given to me, and which I gave a chance to.
Da li te neki deo grada u kojem živiš podseća na Beograd i zbog čega?
Ljeti je život sladak na ostrvima, obalama i vodama oba grada.
Does any part of the city where you live remind you of Belgrade and why?
In summer, life is sweet on the islands, coasts and waters of both cities.
Da li bi radije preselio Beograd u zemlju u kojoj živiš, ili grad u kojem živiš u Srbiju?
Amsterdam bih preselila u Srbiju. U neki izolovani planinski kraj, sa malo više sunčanih dana.
Would you rather move Belgrade to the country where you live, or the city where you live to Serbia?
I would move Amsterdam to Serbia. In some isolated mountainous area, with a few more sunny days.
Koja je prva psovka na sprskom jeziku koju si naučio lokalca u gradu u kojem živiš?
Nisam širila taj aspekt naše kulture, ali sam primjetila da stranci vole da se pohvale poznavanjem pokoje psovke. Moj najčešći odgovor je: “Biće da je to na bugarskom...”
What was the first swear word in Serbian that you taught a local in the city where you live?
I did not spread that aspect of our culture, but I noticed that foreigners like to brag about knowing a few swear words. My most common answer is: "It will be in Bulgarian ..."
Koja je to hrana koju nosiš sa sobom iz Beograda sadašnjoj kući?
Najčešće putujem samo s rancem pa ne dopremam hranu kad se vraćam u Holandiju, ali kad sam u posjeti jedem sve domaće što mi se spremi. I trudim se da uvijek probam bozu, žito sa šlagom i kesten pire. Sad mi je pao na pamet rum kasato. I plazma kocke. Vjerovatno ću naredni put da dođem sa većim prtljagom.
What is the food you bring with you from Belgrade to your current home?
I usually only travel with a backpack so I don’t deliver food when I return to the Netherlands, but when I’m visiting I eat everything homemade that’s prepared for me. And I try to always try boza, wheat with whipped cream and chestnut puree. Now I came up with rum kasato. And plasma cubes. I'll probably come with more luggage next time.

Čekala bih da se izgradi fabrika čipova u Surčinu, u saradnji sa Fondacijom Mubadala.
If you had stayed in Belgrade, what would you be doing at the moment?
I would wait for a chip factory to be built in Surcin, in cooperation with the Mubadala Foundation.
Uporedi noćni život i kulturnu scenu Beograda sa gradom u kojem živiš.
Amsterdam svakako ima mnogo više festivalskih dešavanja, ali broj “kultnih“ klubova je iznenađujuće mali i nekako mi se čini da Beograd ljepše njeguje svoju klupsku scenu.

Amsterdam certainly has many more festival events, but the number of "cult" clubs is surprisingly small and somehow it seems to me that Belgrade nurtures its club scene better.
Da si gradonačelnik Beograda koji bi bio tvoj plan napretka kako bi privukao ljude poput tebe da se vrate?
Za mene lično je obeshrabrujuće to što je krug dvojke nedavno sužen, pa bih u slučaju povratka živjela na periferiji Beograda.
If you were the mayor of Belgrade, what would be your progress plan to attract people like you to return?
For me personally, it is discouraging that the circle of two has recently been narrowed, so in case of return, I would live on the outskirts of Belgrade.
Da li su se tvoji pogledi na svet promenili od kada si se preselio?
Svakako, ali ne samo zbog geografske već i zbog vremenske distance. Savladala sam strah od promaje, a nekim danima mi čak ne manjka hrabrosti da izađem napolje mokre kose.
Have your views of the world changed since you moved?
Certainly, but not only because of the geographical but also because of the time distance. I’ve overcome the fear of drafts, and some days I don’t even lack the courage to go outside with wet hair.
